Drug and Alcohol Safety Education Program (DASEP)

Delta Counseling Associates, Inc. is contracted with the Arkansas Department of Human Services, Division of Behavioral Health Services, to provide DASEP services in the ten-county catchment area for all district and circuit courts. Under the terms of this contract,state certified DASEP program staff services include mandatory pre-sentence screenings presented to the judge with appropriate recommendations for each adjudicated offender found guilty for the charges of Driving While Intoxicated (alcohol or drugs), Driving Under the Influence (DUI-Underage), Minor In Possession (Underage), False ID (Underage), as well as Boating While Intoxicated offenses. DASEP staff are state certified to teach the mandatory required DASEP class and/or classes required for reinstatement of driving privileges for these offenses as incurred by offenders. DASEP staff are also state certified to make appropriate treatment recommendations and referrals for treatment services if warranted.
